Amanpulo (which means “peaceful island”) is set on a secluded, private island. Pamalican is part of the Quiniluban group, which makes up the northern half of the Cuyo Islands and is one of nearly 1,800 islands in Palawan, the largest province in the Philippines. A low-lying coral island, Pamalican is rimmed by seven square kilometres of pristine reef. The uber-luxurious Amanpulo is set on its own stunning, peaceful and remote island, Pamalican. Amanpulo has four fantastic places to eat including pizza at The Windsurfing Hut on the beach and delicious, fresh International and Filipino food at The Restaurant. There is a fabulous 30 metre swimming pool, two tennis courts and pro, snorkelling, windsurfing, hobie cats, kayaks, fully equipped gym, PADI dive centre, luxury boat fleet, kids club, library and peaceful spa casitas for pampering massage and beauty treatments.
Complimentary activities at Amanpulo include tennis, snorkelling, windsurfing, hobie cats, hiking, kayaks, nature walks, gym and use of the kids club. Additional activities include massage, tennis coaching and scuba diving.
Rooms & Villas:
The resort has 40 casitas, designed as modern versions of a traditional Filipino house, are set on the beachfront or perched on the hillside offering incredible sea views. You will be given your own golf buggy which you have full control over to explore the winding tracks of the island.
Amanpulo’s 40 Treetop, Hillside and Beach Casitas all have wooden floors, rattan furniture and subtle interiors which blend into the island’s environment. They all have a sprawling wooden sundeck with loungers and modern comforts such as flat screen TVs, ipod docking stations and DVD/CD players. The 29 Beach Casitas have private pathways that lead directly onto the white sand beach and the four Treetop Casitas are located higher up the hillside above the tree line so that they have views out to the ocean beyond but for totally uninterrupted views, the five Hillside Casitas have unimpeded vistas and the two Deluxe Hillside Casitas have both sunrise and sunset views from their hilltop position. For those wanting even more space and privacy, there are also seven fully staffed one, two and four-bedroom private holiday villas with their own private swimming pools nearby to the resort. All villas include: private swimming pool, separate bathroom, outdoor lounge and kitchen.
Dining:
The Restaurant, located in a wing at one end of the clubhouse, spills out onto a terrace, with views to Manamoc Island across the channel. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served here. The menu features Filipino and International cuisine. On the western side of the island, our Beach Club serves Spanish cuisine for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. On the Eastern side of the island, our Lagoon club serves Thai cuisine in the evening. For casual Lunch “feet on the sand” we offer wood fired pizza at the Picnic Grove. Privatebarbecues at the beach may be arranged and private dining is available day and night. Amanpulo’s marble-top Bar occupies a cozy corner of the Clubhouse and extends to the outdoor terrace. A garden walkway leads down from the pool to the beach and the Amanpulo Beach Club.
