Looking out onto the calm waters of a secluded bay, the lodge boasts soft, shimmering beach sands. This Island in Mozambique, offers many exciting outdoor activities for guests to enjoy. In addition to fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving, you can also take the dhow and catamaran cruises and sea kayaking while the island’s sand dunes, forests and villages can also be explored. Guests may join castaway picnics, Landrover trips, bird watching, island walks, village visits, as well as horse riding. Suites & Villas:
The lodge is in Mozambique and offers a unique African island paradise on pristine beaches touched by the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Spread out along warm, golden sands, every room and guest area at &Beyond Benguerra Island opens out onto a spectacle of sparkling ocean waters. The lodge has just 12 rooms and a three bedroom villa, all of which are close to the beach and feature private decks with plunge pools. There are three different kinds of suites at the Resort which are called: the Cabanas, the Casitas and the Villa Chibuene. Each room features unique characteristics. The rooms boast lovely timber and thatch roofs, colonial-style clay tiled floors and exhibit a restrained and elegant decor style. Spacious bathrooms feature generous bathtubs big enough for two, while outdoor showers decorated with hand-painted tiles offer an opportunity to enjoy your ablutions while listening to the nearby whisper of the waves.

Dining:
The beautiful and comfortable indoor and outdoor dining venues at the Benguerra Lodge offer traditional Mozambican cuisine which incorporate Portuguese flavors in a variety of delicious dishes. The pleasure of dining at &Beyond Benguerra is not confined to what you eat (fresh seafood abounds of course) but where you eat, from a relaxing breakfast overlooking the ocean to a romantic picnic in the sand dunes and a candlelit dinner on the beach. The beach bar has been designed from an old dhow sailing boat with views to the western sinking sun. Whilst there is a protected dining room under thatch, dinners will often be enjoyed under the stars on the deck or on the beach with your toes in the sand.
